I know the tagline says Seattlite, but I've been in Ellensburg, two hours away from the city, for the past year. Also I've sadly neglected this blog but am making a mild effort to revitalize it. And what better way to do that than share a photo from last night:
Was experimenting with long exposure and various aspects of cameraderie (typo intended) with my friend Cole. The little heart was created by waving a device screen around; idea credit to Cole. First time using a intervalometer; slowing building photography knowledge.

Enjoy beautiful Ellensburg. There are more shots on my Facebook profile including the stars; cool combo of the artificial manmade light and natural pinpoint in the sky.

Well, never thought I'd be in a crash BEFORE I could drive, but in retrospect, I'm actually better off having been in one. Life is so good, family is so great, and God is so amazing, this crash really opened my eyes to that and I hope I never close them.

Post-Christmas

Well, another Christmas is over. There is, however, still a profusion of cookies and goodies about, along with decorations, (to remain until around New Year's) and, best of all, visiting relatives are still here. =)

I underestimated the time school + soccer would consume. Now I'll readjust my goal from weekly posts to monthly. =)

While searching for a suitable subject to post, I came across this.

Such an insignificant object, on one of the most common surfaces, but the shape represents something so great, it dominates lives. Families are built on it. People are inspired and raised to greatness because of it. In fact, our whole salvation is based on what that little fallen petal represents.

We look at a tiny fragment of flower on rain-washed sidewalk and see nothing but a couple of the most common things in life.

...But look again, because sometimes in the most common places, and disguised as the most common object, something beautiful is found.

Hey All!

Wish me luck in my new endeavor; posting pictures and maintaining weekly updates (I'll try to work up to daily eventually. Wish me luck with that too)

To start, here's some random photos I took last year...

The green one is squash leaves from Mom's garden, well nourished by the near-constant rain. =) Gotta love Seattle
